Does LumaCare accept insurance?
LumaCare accepts long-term care insurance, in addition to private pay. If your personal insurance includes coverage for our services, we will work with you to provide information required by your insurance company.
Do you have an hourly minimum?
No, LumaCare client plans are fully customizable. We impose no daily hourly minimums.
How soon can you start working with my loved one?
Our services start by understanding our client’s specific needs. If we have a caregiver available who matches your needs, we can begin to provide services immediately.
How much do you charge?
LumaCare offers a premium in-home service. Because each client’s care is unique, costs vary depending upon client needs. Please call us to provide a quote.
What services do you offer?
Our services include companionship, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation to and from appointments, errands, as well as, overnight and live-in care. We work together with clients, loved ones and caregivers to formulate the ideal plan and level of care for each individual under our care.
How do you find and vet caregivers?
Our preference is always to find caregivers through referrals. When this is not possible, we utilize a number of avenues to find the ideal caregiver for each individual client.
The screening and onboarding of companions and caregivers is an in-depth process, which we expedite when necessary. We spend the time interviewing and vetting caregivers so you don’t have to.
Do you carry personal liability?
Yes. LumaCare is fully insured.
What differentiates LumaCare?
LumaCare was founded by three women who realized, when they needed help caring for aging family members, the substantial deficiency of quality, in-home care in the personal care industry.
As professionals, daughters and mothers, they realized how extremely challenging it can be to find the type of caregiver they would want to care for themselves, their parents or their children. Today, it’s their mission to bring high quality care and peace of mind to clients and clients’ family members. Unlike other in-home services, LumaCare’s plans are fully customizable per individual client needs.
Do you have caregivers that are readily available?
Yes. However, if a new client has specific needs or requirements, we will conduct the appropriate search to find an experienced caregiver in line with the client’s needs.
Can I decide who comes to my home?
Clients always meet LumaCare caregivers prior to the commencement of services to ensure a quality fit. If a client doesn’t feel that a caregiver is the right match, we provide other options.
